LITE are an instrumental rock band from Tokyo, Japan. Their members are:
Nobuyuki Takeda (guitar), Kozo Kusumoto (guitar), Jun Izawa (bass) and
Akinori Yamamoto (drums). Formed in 2003, LITE's cinematic sound combines
prog-like dexterity and deft interplay between instruments with the harder
edge of bands like Shellac. Imagine Crazy Horse playing math rock! Their
debut mini-album features beautiful dual guitar melodies and a propulsive
rhythm section on their sometimes dark, sometimes euphoric tunes. The band
already have two sold out self-released EPs under their belt and their debut
mini album is released on Transduction in the UK and Ireland on July 24th. On
its domestic release in Japan, the band were showered with critical
superlatives and they are currently embarked on their second national
headlining tour there, having also supported many visiting international acts
in Tokyo.
